New Model: Some primary-care medical practices are eschewing the traditional fee-for-service payment system for a monthly membership fee that covers unlimited access, Kaiser Health News reports . Washington state, where there’s a law encouraging these arrangements, has seen an increase in the number of practices charging between $85 and $135 a month, KHN reports.
