In two clinical trials, the drugs, called boceprevir and telaprevir, nearly doubled the number of patients who achieve what is known as a sustained viral suppression among those with new hepatitis C infections, the newspaper says. Coverage : Medicare may soon pay for the cancer drug Provenge, a vaccine recently approved for treatment of prostate cancer, the WSJ reports. On Wednesday, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services gave formal notice that it plans to begin covering the vaccine, which costs $93,000. The proposal will be subject to public comment for 30 days, and a final decision will be issued 60 days after that, the newspapers says.
