One impressive thing about health-care-related crime in South Florida : The perps keep coming up with new ways to break the law. The latest, courtesy of the Miami Herald : A hospital employee sells patient records to a middle man, who passes them on to a personal-injury lawyer. The lawyer uses the records to find potential clients, and shares part of any proceeds with the middle man. That’s what the FBI says happened at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, according to the Herald.
