Sunny days are meant for outdoor activity, so it's no wonder that fitness fans come out in full force when the weather warms up. But between bugs, humidity, and searing sun , is an outdoor cardio session too much to take when the heat strikes? While San Francisco's Summer may not be typical (it's been cold and rainy here), even on a cool, sunny day I love to run outdoors. But while there's nothing like a run in the park during a nice day, I still enjoy the convenience of working out in a gym; mine is just a few blocks away from work, so it's hard for me to justify skipping out on a workout, especially after I've lugged my gym bag with me during my commute. Do you still work out in a gym during the sunny months, or do you shun the indoors to take advantage of the season? Do You Still Go to the Gym in the Summer? Yes - It motivates me to have a plan, and sometimes it's too hot outside! No - I spent enough time there in the Winter! I do both - I have different reasons for each workout. I don't ever go to the gym!

Is there ever a time when you go to a class - whether yoga, boot camp, Pilates, or kick boxing - and notice someone from the class before you, staying for your class? Whenever I go to hot yoga, there's a man who does back-to-back classes, possibly even more than that! And they aren't just restorative yoga classes, with lots of deep breathing and relaxing stretches, they are the intense, fire-breathing (feels like it!) bikram classes. Yes, he looks amazing and is in better shape than I'll ever be, but sometimes I wonder if I could ever pull off going to two classes in a row. I guess you'd already be warmed up, so what's another hour or two? You would think that getting lots of exercise and going to more than one class wouldn't be a bad thing, but there are those who are addicted to exercise . When exercising becomes an obsession and a compulsive behavior, the benefits of exercise fade away since you are putting additional strain on your muscles and joints, which can lead to serious injuries. Overall, factors like the actual class, its length, and how much exercise you do outside of your classes can all be factored into whether or not two or more classes is too much. But what about you? Do you ever stay for more than one class? Do You Ever Take Back-to-Back Classes? All the time. Never Depends

Consumer Reports recently came out with its latest diet ratings, and Jenny Craig is on top . The diet program took top billing in part because most people on it stay on it for a while; a recent study found that 92 percent of dieters on the plan stayed on it for two years. Three of the top four, actually, also featured branded prepackaged meals . Rated just behind Jenny Craig was Slim Fast, which offers branded meal replacement bars and shakes to help you lose weight. The Zone's delivered meals also were rated highly, coming in fourth. And while third-place Weight Watchers doesn't require product-endorsed meals as part of the diet, it does sell optional frozen meals and includes meetings or online counseling for support. The diets that came in last, however, were the low-carb Atkins program and Ornish, the diet that emphasizes whole grains, fruits, and vegetables while limiting animal products. While there are support plans available for both diets, the main tenets of both can just be followed by buying a book. Finding a diet that works for you can no doubt be a challenge; some people may love the convenience of knowing what and how much to eat, others may scoff at eating processed or frozen foods. Are you a fan of prepackaged diet programs like Jenny Craig and Slim Fast? What do you like about them? Are You a Fan of Prepackaged Diet Plans? Yes - The portion-controlled, packaged meals and counseling help me stick to my diet. No - I don't like the limited options.

Many of us have basic gym memberships, but still pay a little extra to go to our favorite classes outside of the gym - does Saturday vinyasa at a studio up the street sound familiar? I'll be the first to admit that it took awhile for me to wrap my head around the fact that my gym membership also includes access to cool classes like kickboxing, yoga, boot camp, and more. The gym I go to is pretty basic, and I associate it with workouts that consist of cardio and weights, that's it. I'm sure if I went to a fancy gym , I'd consider signing up for their classes, since higher quality often equals experienced instructors and a better experience . . . right? Am I overreacting or should I give my gym's classes another shot? (I have attended a few but wasn't overly impressed.) I'm just not sure that I'll be able to budge on my yoga classes - I love my dimly-lit, incense-smelling, yoga studio! Where do you stand on this topic? Source: Flickr User familymwr Do You Take Specific Exercise Classes at Your Gym? Yes - I love my gym's classes. Never - I prefer going to a specialized studio. I mix it up.
